North Canton, OH - For the fourth year, St. George Serbian Orthodox Church will host its Annual Serb Festival on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Conveniently located in North Canton at 4667 Applegrove St. NW, near Portage and I-77 (Exit 111), festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until 10:00 p.m.
You don't have to be Serbian to experience the spirit of the Serbian culture. Spend a day with us and enjoy the sights and sounds of Serbia as seen in folk dance, songs, and live Serbian music. Serbs are known for their hospitality, and a major feature at our Serb Festival is the food. Prepared to tempt your palate in plentiful quantities will be authentic Serbian delicacies made from recipes that originated in the homeland and have been passed down through generations. Enjoy roasted lamb, chicken and pork from the wood-burning fire pit, grilled chevaps (Serbian sausage), sarma (cabbage rolls), gibanica (cheese pastry), palachinke (crepes), krofne (Serbian doughnuts), nut rolls, and other delicious homemade pastries.
Indoors and outdoors, North Canton Serb Festival is a fun-filled day for the whole family. There will be pony rides, bounce houses, games, and more. Don't forget to stop by the Serbian Marketplace and browse among various vendors' stalls to purchase unique, one-of-a-kind items.
